Pre-Op Appt
We are off this morning to the 'pre-op' appointment. This is where we meet the anesthesiologist (s?) and find out all the nitty-gritty details about the surgery: what time to arrive, how long things will take, and, most importantly, how long before surgery Zyle has to stop eating and drinking. That's going to be the hardest part of pre-surgery - denying Zyle food and drink. Yuk!

So what will they actually be doing to address the problem? What does the surgery entail?
ReplyDeleteAs we were told in simple terms, the neurosurgeon takes the skull off, and the plastic surgeon puts the skull back on, reshaping to leave room for the brain to go. I'm sure the reality is much more technical than that.
